Amends

Imagine your momma soaked in tears laying on the floor

Crying out to God saying “I can’t take this anymore”

So you get angry about it and kick down your Daddy’s door

Only to find him smoking crack and laid up with some whore

For years you watch him smack her up and throw her around

But you’re much bigger now and that shit will not go down

Living a life of chaos from a very young age

Will give you a lot of insecurities and resentments and rage

But that was just the beginning of the story, I wanna brag about the end

Thanks to the Lord above who came to mend, restore and amend

My Mom and Dad are in love and back together again

And I no longer hate my Dad, I actually consider him a friend
