Daddy

Daddy, please don’t go out and get drunk tonight

‘Cause I HATE when you and mommy scream and fight

Daddy, please don’t hit mommy and throw her against the wall

I’m trying to stop you but I’m only four feet tall

Daddy, I’m screaming and crying does that matter to you at all

I’m only six, I can’t stop you so the police get the call

Daddy, I love you but its hard for me not to hate you

Why don’t you love us enough to quit the drugs and alcohol too

But my Heavenly Father never left me in all this I’ve gone through

And I learned that His love of me is the only things that’s true
